Curriculum & Training

The WPHL’s mission is premised on the idea that the university has no walls and that access to learning and education far extends our time in the traditional classroom. We are dedicated to creating opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and members of the broader South Florida community and beyond to explore, learn, and create new forms of knowledge.

Our curricular offerings are varied and constantly expanding. The WPHL supports digital humanities training, oral history work, archival preservation, museum curation, and community storytelling, among other skills, through our many initiatives and programs. From internships at a wide-range of community partner sites to themed skill-oriented workshops to the building of a robust program in Miami Studies, the WPHL is committed to expanding access and modes of training and education to all those who seek it.
