iWitness: IPC Institute for Visual Journalism investigates issues impacting democracy in Latin America, the Caribbean and its global diasporas. Our mission is to (re)engage visual journalism as a means of pursuing knowledge and truth-telling within our evolving democracy.
Led by The Wolfsonian Public Humanities Lab-FIU (WPHL-FIU) and Iris PhotoCollective (IPC), iWitness is a pioneering think tank that houses world-class journalists and their work. We create curriculum, public-facing work, research and access to knowledge not only face-to-face, but also through digital initiatives, in all dimensions. Through an innovative, cutting-edge app, replete with curricular, visual, and textual content, #Putting democracy in your hands.
