While interpretations of the field vary, a guiding definition of the digital humanities is the leveraging of computational and digital technologies to advance work in the humanities. Digital humanities tools and methodologies are key to the work the WPHL is currently undertaking with community partners around South Florida and beyond. Projects range from digitizing long-lost sources from the past to curating free exhibitions online to digital mapping projects that help delineate patterns of inequity and creating new archives through engaging oral histories.
